What does a class look like?
Each class is one hour long, with classes held at various times throughout the day, depending on your schedule. We begin each class with a warm-up, then move on to a skill, technique or gymnastics lesson, then we complete the daily WOD (Workout Of the Day) and then cool down before class concludes. Make sure to arrive 10 minutes early to sign in and get ready for class to begin!

Yes. We have restrooms with showers for your convenience.
Is CrossFit it dangerous?
Not at all. The key is proper technique and appropriately building up your capability with time and practice. Inherently, there are risks involvement with any sport, but did you know that, as an example, Olympic Weightlifting has the lowest injury rate of any Olympic sport? At Bloodline CrossFit in Lehigh Acres / Fort Myers, we pride ourselves on excellent and passionate coaching to limit – as much as possible – the potential of injury. Leave your ego at the door and look forward to becoming your fittest self ever!

We’re happy to work with you to scale and substitute exercises, to tailor workouts to your abilities.
How often should I come to class?
We’d love to see you every single day! Though, Sunday always is an off day for us.

But the folks I saw on TV looked monstrous?
ESPN has begun broadcasting the “CrossFit Games” at the end of each July. For these athletes, CrossFit itself is their sport and working out is their full-time job. These folks are the 0.01% of CrossFitters. For the rest of us, the 99.99%, we use CrossFit to gain great levels of fitness, move better and live healthier lives.
I have/had an injury. Is CrossFit still for me?
Members have successfully used CrossFit to rehabilitate from minor injuries. Because we have to move, work and play in the real world regardless of injuries, learning and understanding proper form and technique is crucial to a long-term, healthy lifestyle.
By understanding and utilizing functional movements, we slowly will build strength in those movements, rather than avoiding them altogether. We’re happy to work with you to scale and substitute exercises, to tailor workouts to your abilities. If you have/had a more serious injury, we prefer you consult your physician before starting this (or any other) exercise program.
Will CrossFit make me bulky?
This tends to be a big concern primarily for women, which is that they’ll get bulky muscles and look masculine. Wrong. CrossFit movements are full-body and functional. CrossFit, in essence, is based on variety. It’s variety between cardio, gymnastics, weightlifting movements and bodyweight exercises – sometimes all together in one workout. While each person intrinsically is different, CrossFit’s goal is not to get you “bulky” but to get you healthier. It’s more than weights – it’s nutrition, sleep habits, stress management, mobility and enhancing various other physical skills like coordination, balance, agility, speed, power and more.
Everybody has different goals within CrossFit. Generally, CrossFit classes are going to make you a well-rounded athlete, and by no means change your physique in any sort of unappealing way. Effective weight training and lifting barbells as a woman will not mean you gain huge amounts of muscle mass.

What about losing fat and gaining muscle?
Your body will not lose fat in one spot at a time, it will only lose fat. So, you must reduce your overall body fat percentage to see results in the area you want. This is why the “ab-(insert attention-grabbing verb)” you see on TV won’t work to help you get a better midsection.
If you are looking for an effective training program, with a clear diet prescription that will allow you to become healthier, CrossFit is for you. It’s about moving better, getting leaner and stronger, with improved muscular/cardiovascular endurance and being better at everything.
How quickly will I see results?
The saying “Rome wasn’t built in a day” rings true here. You likely will see great results, but you need to stick with it. Set realistic goals and, most importantly, just get yourself to class, consistently, work hard, and let the magic happen. Moreover, other things like nutrition, adequate sleep, stress levels and mobility also play crucial roles in seeing results.
I’m just visiting, but I’m a CrossFitter, can I attend a WOD?

(Just be sure to come by when we’re open for business and also be aware that our supply of certain sizes may vary depending on what we have at the gym on any given day.)
Can I just come to Bloodline and work out on my own?
No. We offer classes and one-on-one sessions, where people work out under a coach’s supervision, as it yields better, safer and faster results than having people simply use the facility alone.
