Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have showers?
Yes. We have two restrooms with showers.
I’m just visiting, but I’m a CrossFitter, can I attend a WOD?
We welcome experienced CrossFitters from all over the world. Please call or email first to schedule a class time. When you arrive be sure to let us know your level of CrossFit experience and if you have any limitations.
Can I just come to Bloodline and work out on my own?
No. We offer classes and one-on-one sessions, where people work out under a coach’s supervision, as it yields better, safer and faster results than having people simply use the facility alone.
If I’m nervous, how can I see what CrossFit is like?
Every Saturday at 9:30am is a free introductory class that orients you to CrossFit. New interested folks are always welcome!
What if I can’t do all the movements?
No worries. We’ll train you to be the fittest you can be. Everyone is different, and the beauty of CrossFit is that it is completely scalable, meaning we have several options to choose from to alter a movement if needed. You may experience some soreness or limited range of motion at the onset, but stick with it, those are the ‘training wheels’ to get you ready. We’re happy to work with you to scale and substitute exercises, to tailor workouts to your abilities.
The folks I saw on TV looked monstrous?!
The “CrossFit Games” are broadcast on TV every July. For these athletes, CrossFit itself is their sport and working out is their full-time job. These folks are the 0.01% of CrossFitters. For the rest of us, the 99.99%, we use CrossFit to gain great levels of fitness, move better and live healthier lives.
I have/had an injury. Is CrossFit still for me?
Members have successfully used CrossFit to rehabilitate from minor injuries. Because we have to move, work and play in the real world regardless of injuries, learning and understanding proper form and technique is crucial to a long-term, healthy lifestyle.
By understanding and utilizing functional movements, we’ll slowly build strength in those movements, rather than avoiding them altogether. We’re happy to work with you to scale and substitute exercises, to tailor workouts to your abilities. If you have/had a more serious injury, we prefer you consult your physician before starting this (or any other) exercise program.
How quickly will I see results?
The saying “Rome wasn’t built in a day” rings true here. You likely will see great results, but you need to stick with it. Set realistic goals and, most importantly, just get yourself to class, consistently, work hard, and let the magic happen. Moreover, other things like nutrition, adequate sleep, stress levels and mobility also play crucial roles in seeing results.
